The Standard

Design only earns its keep when it works. Below are three concept sites and my own landing page, each translating a distinct brand into a clean, fast web experience.

All of it is made to the same standard.

This sunrise is pure CSS — no images.

Concept Sites

Editorial law firm website opening on a monumental serif headline in off-white on charcoal, beside a black-and-white portrait that runs off the right edge.

Axiom Law

Visionary | Law & Authority

A concept for a firm whose authority is monumental rather than loud. One serif headline fills the viewport, chapter numerals run down a rail, and the practice areas open at the scale of a title page. Nothing here hurries. Everything here is meant to be remembered.

  • Playfair Display at architectural scale against a monochrome palette with a single cobalt accent.
  • An accessible accordion and a record of numbers built from type alone, with a real italic, not a synthesized one.
  • Hand-written, semantic HTML — the code holds the same standard as the design.

Interior design studio website opening on a lowercase headline and a floor plan of five numbered rooms, beside a photograph of a white Spanish Revival house with an arched porch.

Aura + Earth

Sanctuary | Interior Design

A concept for an interior designer whose website is a tour of one finished home. A floor plan works as the index, and every room gets the same short rail: what was kept, what was added, what was sourced. The offerings and the inquiry come after the walk-through, once the work has made the case.

  • Hanken Grotesk, set light at display sizes, on an earth palette where every line of text meets WCAG AA contrast.
  • Eight images made for one fictional house, so all five rooms read as the same home.
  • On a phone, room chips follow you through the tour, and the finish schedule stays a real table as it reflows into cards.

Coffee roastery website styled as a photocopied punk zine, opening on a toner-worn headline, “Sleep is for people who don’t drink Riot.”, beside a black coffee bag taped onto a hot pink card.

Riot Coffee

Pulse | Coffee & Culture

A concept for a Pittsburgh roastery and café that sells every coffee once, as a Friday drop. The page is a punk zine you could pick up at the counter: cut-out type, taped-up snapshots and a ticker announcing the next drop. It is loud on purpose, and none of it gets in the way of finding the shop or the next release.

  • Archivo Black and Courier Prime in black on paper, with hot pink and a rarer lime highlighter, where every line of text meets WCAG AA contrast.
  • Nine images made for one fictional roastery, eight of them run through a photocopier built in CSS, so the pictures and the worn headlines read as copies off one machine.
  • The drop ticker has its own pause button and stands still for visitors whose device asks for less motion, so the energy never gets in anyone’s way.
